Carol Plumridge
Osteopath
Carol Plumridge qualified as an Osteopath in 1980 from the British school of Osteopathy (now the University College of Osteopathy). During her career she has worked in private practice and also taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Carol is fascinated by the link between physical and mental health and wellbeing. Client’s physical problems are directly affected by what else is happening in their lives; stress can have an impact on both the musculoskeletal system as well as their immune response. Good health is more than just a lack of being ill! Listening to people and working with them physically can help ease stress and tension and aid better overall health.
During the consultation Carol will work out what tissues are causing the problems and why; devise an individually tailored treatment and management plan and decide whether any onward referral is necessary.
All osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council and have to complete 90 hours of continuing professional development over a three-year period. Carol is insured with the Institute of Osteopathy.
